Marina is originally from Babruisk. In 2007, she graduated from the choral conducting department of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. She remained in Minsk.
Marina has been teaching for over 15 years. She taught at the children's vocal studio at Belarusian State University and at children's music schools in Minsk. She also directs the "Pretty Bend" ensemble and teaches at Veronika Yanovskaya's music school, which was also recently awarded a home chemistry degree.
She was detained at the end of June 2025. She was held in the Okrestina temporary detention facility, after which she was scheduled to be transferred to Pretrial Detention Center No. 1. She most likely remained in custody pending trial.

For over 30 years, Liliya has taught at the Republican Gymnasium-College of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. Pozharitskaya has twice received a presidential grant (2016, 2018) and has been awarded several state certificates.
The couple was convicted for participating in protests in 2020.
