The rector of the Roman Catholic parish in Shumilino, the sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, Father Andrzej Yukhniewicz was not released from the Vitebsk temporary detention center after serving 45 days of arrest . We managed to find out that the prison term of the priest from Shumilino was extended until July 2. The only supplies he is allowed to receive are medicines. There is practically no information about him. Father Andrzej Juchniewicz has been convicted at least 4 times in a row. Probably, the first three times - for a maximum period of 15 days, and the fourth time the court assigned him a new term of arrest of 10 days.
Thus, the rector in Shumilino has been behind bars for more than 45 days - longer than all the Roman and Greek Catholic priests who were sentenced to administrative arrest in Belarus.
