During the trial, he admitted guilt in only one incident, committed under personal circumstances—the loss of his child: he drove into the forest and short-circuited a track circuit using a wire. He pleaded not guilty to the other incidents, claiming he had incriminated himself during the investigation.

He was also found guilty of "illegal drug trafficking without intent to sell," as approximately two grams of marijuana were found during a search of his person, which he voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement officers.

Anna was arrested in October 2021 in connection with a criminal case opened following a protest on September 13, 2020, in Brest, where people were singing and dancing in circles and were attacked with a water cannon. She was convicted of "participating in group actions that grossly violate public order" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

Alexander worked for the Ministry of Emergency Situations for over 15 years. Before his arrest, he was a squad commander at Unit No. 7 in Grodno. He was arrested in September 2021 as part of a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk. Alexander was subsequently fired and ordered to pay seven thousand Belarusian rubles in compensation under his contract.
