In April 2021, Margarita Lantsevich sentenced the mother of two minor children, Anastasia Kolomeichenko, to one and a half years of restriction of freedom for a comment on Instagram. Also in January 2023, for participating in a peaceful protest in 2020, Lantsevich sentenced Anton Naumov to two and a half years of restriction of freedom and sent to an open correctional facility. Thus, Margarita Nikolaevna Lantsevich is responsible for human rights violations and undermining the rule of law, as well as for promoting repression against representatives of civil society and the democratic opposition. Her work within the judiciary is focused on maintaining the position of the existing government, rather than on enforcing the law. Ilya was convicted for a personal message sent to Vladimir Kozlovsky, a senior police inspector at the Ministry of Internal Affairs department of the Leninsky District Administration of Grodno. The first time, Yuri was convicted for, according to the charges, in September 2020, while walking with friends near the Molodezhnaya Hotel, during a conversation he tugged at the national flag, which eventually fell.

On February 15, 2022, Yuri was detained again in a criminal case opened under the article "assistance to extremist activity." He received administrative arrest, during which KGB officers visited him. In May 2022, he was detained again in Russia due to a wanted list, and in October of the same year he was extradited to Belarus, although the extradition case was formally closed on September 26, 2022.
In January 2023, Yuri was convicted again for helping other political prisoners receive aid from foundations. At the trial, he pleaded not guilty and refused to testify.
In May 2024, his sentence was increased and he was transferred to prison until the end of his term.

The source reported that the former political prisoner contacted a group of fraudsters who were most likely stealing money from bank accounts. The preliminary version of the investigation is suicide.
On November 16, 2023, it became known that a criminal case under the article "incitement to suicide" was opened into the death of a former Belarusian political prisoner in the Warsaw detention center. Evidence is being collected.
