The verdict was delivered in absentia. The defendant herself was not present at the trial, as she has been abroad since the fall of 2020. This is the first verdict in Belarus in a criminal case, which was investigated within the framework of "special proceedings". Ex-chairman of BSSF Alexandra Herasimenia and executive director of the fund Alexander Opeikin were found guilty of calling for sanctions and other actions aimed at harming the national security of Belarus.

In 2021, she publicly announced that she was leaving journalism. She explained her departure by saying that she had already had enough of being persecuted for working without accreditation. According to police reports, the courts punished the journalist with administrative fines more than forty times, including for covering post-election protests. Only one day was not assigned, since Shchiryakova was raising a minor son alone.
This year, in September, after the arrest of her former colleague in the journalistic field, Yevgeny Merkis, Shchiryakova raised the issue of the journalist’s detention in a pre-trial detention facility in her posts on social networks, and posted messages on her social network pages about solidarity actions with Yevgeny that were being held abroad.
After Larisa was detained, her son was taken to a shelter straight from school.
According to the case materials, Larisa Shchyryakova allegedly posted information on the Internet that discredited the Republic of Belarus. She is also accused of "collecting, creating, processing, storing and transmitting information for" Viasna" and "Belsat".

Before the trial, she was held in pretrial detention for 8 months .
In March 2023, it became known about Elena's serious condition in IK-4, where she was serving her sentence. "For example, when Elena was once in a very serious condition, she was not given medical care, although everything was extremely bad. She had a temperature of almost 40, she was delirious, then she started having problems with her joints, an abscess. But then she was not even assigned to the medical unit, the prisoners themselves took her there," said one of the former prisoners.
She was released on October 29, 2024, having served her entire sentence .
Elena was deported from Belarus.
According to human rights activists , she was released after serving the full sentence imposed by the court.

She was arrested for participating in the 2020 protests in Grodno along with Lyudmila Mazurkevich. Natalia was ultimately sentenced to restricted freedom without a referral. In January 2024, Natalia was detained during a security forces raid on relatives of political prisoners and supporters. Natalia was never released and was sentenced to imprisonment.
Natalia was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. She received credit for time served in a correctional facility (eight months), as well as time spent in pretrial detention. After four months in prison, Natalia was released, having served her sentence in full.
Oksana worked as a notary for more than 17 years, the last place of work was the Notary Office No. 2 of the Savetsky district of the city of Minsk. According to pro-government telegram channels , detained for participating in protests in 2020.

Nasta is a well-known Belarusian human rights activist. Since August 2021, she has been a suspect in a criminal case related to the activities of the organization "Viasna."
On September 6, 2022, after attending a court hearing in the "Revolutionary Action" case, Nasta was convicted twice of "petty hooliganism" and spent 30 days in custody. Three weeks later, on October 28, 2022, she was arrested again. At the trial, she testified to torture: GUBOPiK officers shocked her with a stun gun and left her in the cold for eight hours without outerwear, causing Nasta to fall ill. While in custody at Okrestina, she was held without warm clothing or personal hygiene products.
On November 28, 2022, Nastya was again sentenced to 15 days in jail under Article 19.1, "petty hooliganism." In mid-December, she was re-arrested for the sixth time under the same article, and at the end of the month, she was charged with criminal offenses and transferred to Pretrial Detention Center No. 1. According to the prosecution, one of her human rights reports on the persecution of an anarchist community in 2018 contained a negative assessment of police actions, which served as the basis for the criminal case. Human rights activists note that this interpretation of the article is inconsistent with international standards.
Almost the entire trial, which began on June 13, 2023, was held behind closed doors. An appeal was heard on October 3, 2023. In July 2025, Nastya was placed in a special penal colony for six months.
On March 19, 2026, she was released after another visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, John Cole, and taken to Lithuania.
She was detained on November 4, 2022 and sentenced to 13 days of administrative arrest. After the end of the arrest, Evgenia was not released, but was charged under criminal articles: first for insulting Lukashenka, then for participating in post-election protests.
