Pro-government Telegram channels reported that Vyacheslav was detained in late July 2023 in Grodno while returning to Belarus from abroad, and that he allegedly left around a thousand comments in "extremist" chats and channels. The indictment states that he posted comments on the "Real Belarus" channel, and an expert examination concluded that the text contained negative and obscene statements directed at Lukashenko and Putin.
