Pro-government channels claim that Yevhen "participated in organizing the riots", after which he left Belarus and "posted extremist symbols." Apparently, he was detained upon his return to the country.

Judging by Instagram, Eugene is engaged in electronics and audio equipment. Judging by the video, the security forces considered his photo with Siarhei Tsikhanouski, clearly taken at an official picket and published on May 26, 2020, long before the mass protests and three days before Tsikhanouski was detained, as a “photo from the protests”.

"Extremist symbols" the security forces called the national ornament and the former state emblem "Pursuit". They stated that they detained the man because he "did not repent of his sins, did not suffer punishment and did not apply to the commission on return."
