As follows from the published verdict , Maxim Gurinovich was accused of writing an offensive comment on the Odnoklassniki social network in the group “Belsat TV Channel” under the news about the verdict of a single mother. The news said that a single mother allegedly insulted policeman R. Kutsko with an “offensive symbol” and for this she was sentenced to 2 years of “domestic chemicals.” Gurinovich’s own comment was also about this same Kutsko, and the news was accompanied by a photograph of “police officers in uniform.”
For his moral suffering from Gurinovich’s comment, policeman Kutsko asked for 2 thousand rubles in moral compensation. Maxim paid 400 rubles of this before the trial, so he filed a lawsuit for the remaining 1,600 rubles. The judge granted this claim: Gurinovich will have to pay Kutsko another 1,600 rubles in moral compensation, and also pay a fine of 50 b.v. (2000 rubles).
