Igor was arrested in September 2024 for calling for protests in chat rooms; a pro-government channel published a video of him. In the recording, he claims to have been a member of destructive chat rooms in 2020, where he allegedly "urged people to coordinate and damage state property." Security officials also showed screenshots of messages about "fake courtyard chat rooms" and "targeted exits for sabotage," but the author of these messages is unknown.

In March 2025, he was found guilty of “calls to actions aimed at causing harm to the national security of the Republic of Belarus” and sentenced to imprisonment.

On December 13, 2025, he was released following a visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, Keith Kellogg, and taken to Ukraine.

The couple (Vyacheslav Berezovets and Tatyana Danilyuk) were placed in custody for taking part in protests in Kobrin on August 10, 2020, where the woman "made obscene gestures to the police," and her husband "pulled down his pants and showed his bare buttocks."

The Investigative Committee notes that the couple still has three young children at large.

On November 4, 2024, the Kobrin District Court held a trial of Tatyana and Vyacheslav "on the recovery of expenses incurred by the state for the maintenance of children in state care. " And on December 24, 2024, the Kobrin District Court held a trial of Tatyana "on determining the child's place of residence."

These hearingsindicate that Tatyana and Vyacheslav Berezovtsy had their young children taken away while they were imprisoned for political persecution .

Most likely she was sentenced to "house arrest" .
