He was then taken to the Pinsk City Police Department's shooting range, where Ales Romanovich saw him badly beaten. He was then placed in the Pinsk temporary detention facility, and then taken to the pretrial detention center of the Ivatsevichi colony, where security forces had housed some of the detainees.
A week after the beating, the journalist still had bruises. It was reported that traces of the beating remained on his face even a month later, including deep scars. Media-Polesye also reported at the time that its employee had suffered an eye injury.
According to human rights activists , he was released in the fall of 2025, having fully served his sentence.

According to the prosecutor's office , Artem decided to deposit money through an information kiosk in June of this year, but was unable to complete the planned transaction. Essentially, the bank employee herself "revealed" the contents of a private conversation.
The investigation also determined that Artem's statements were "humiliating, undermining the authority of the Head of State, his personal and professional qualities, as well as the authority of state power as a whole."
