On June 24, 2024, Alexander Chakhovsky was convicted in absentia of "insulting government officials" (Article 369 of the Criminal Code) and "desecration of state symbols" (Article 370 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to three months of arrest. However, on September 20, 2024, the Supreme Court overturned Chakhovsky's sentence during an appeal and sent his case back to the same court for review. The sentences for the other defendants in the case were left unchanged.

From December 10 to December 13, 2024, Alexander was tried under four articles of the Criminal Code. In accordance with Part 2 and 6 of Article 72 of the Criminal Code, for a combination of crimes by partially adding up the main punishments and adding an additional one, Chakhovsky was finally sentenced to imprisonment for a term of seven years in a penal colony under enhanced security conditions with a fine of 32,000 rubles.

On May 14, 2024, in the city of Murino, Leningrad Region, doctor Vladimir Martov, who left Belarus, was detained . He was on the interstate wanted list for “participation in the activities of an extremist formation” for an interview with a foreign media outlet, which was declared an “extremist formation” in Belarus.

Vladimir Martov worked as the head of the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of the Vitebsk Emergency Hospital; in April 2021, his contract was not renewed. The doctor began to be persecuted after he spoke in non-state media about how mortality statistics from coronavirus were being hidden.

In February 2022, Martov was arrested for 7 days under Art. 24.23 Code of Administrative Offenses (Violation of the procedure for organizing or holding mass events). He was detained at his dacha near Lepel. According to the doctor's wife, he was convicted for having a white-red-white flag on his avatar on a social network. After his release, Vladimir Martov left the country.
