According to the prosecution, on July 10, 2020, using a device not identified during the investigation, Romanovsky created and posted a comment on one of his personal pages on the Odnoklassniki social network under the photo of the head of the regional department of internal affairs. The investigation established that it contained a public insult, indecently humiliating the honor and dignity of a government official. Also, the comment "was posted based on the political and ideological hostility associated with the 2020 electoral campaign in connection with the performance of the police chief's official duties."
The defendant pleaded guilty in full.
