Vyacheslav's imprisonment is being used as a means of pressuring his relatives in exile: two months after Vyacheslav's arrest, GUBOP officers contacted his cousin, who was in exile, and offered "cooperation" in exchange for "solving the problem." During the conversation, the GUBOP officer openly stated that the purpose of this persecution of Vyacheslav was to exert maximum pressure on his brother (Dmitry) and "make things as bad for him as possible."

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he is involved in the "extremist" group "Da zoraў" (For the Future) together with musician Ales Chumakov.
In February 2025, Tatyana was convicted under Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (dissemination of extremist materials). A criminal case was subsequently opened.

During the transfer, he had a black bag over his head, and his hands were clasped in front of him with a plastic zip tie. Kalinovets was flown by helicopter to the airfield.

Journalists learned that in 2019, Ilyukhin went to Canada to take up the position of first secretary at the Belarusian embassy.
"In Ottawa, he served as a member of the electoral commission for the 2020 presidential election. According to the official protocol, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya won a landslide victory in his precinct, garnering 321 votes (91%) to Alexander Lukashenko's 21 votes (6%)," the publication writes .
In August 2021, Ilyukhin served as consul in New York. He then served as first secretary at the Belarusian Embassy in Washington, D.C. He left the diplomatic service in April 2022. After leaving government service, Dmitry worked at the representative office of the International Federation of Red Cross Societies (IFRC).
Dmitry's arrest likely occurred about a year ago. The nature of the charges and the exact sentence are unknown, but the sentence involves imprisonment .
