Dmitry was convicted of "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order, or actively participating in them" and sentenced to restricted freedom in an open facility. He was 28 years old at the time of his arrest, and in 2020, he left nearly 400 comments in various chats and did not delete them.
He was released in May 2025, having served his full sentence.
The man is known to have worked as a mechanic at Zavet OJSC, a company that installs electrical systems. Previously, he was a sole proprietor who repaired cars.
Several criminal cases have been opened against the man for comments he made on Telegram. He deleted his account in 2022, but it was eventually found. The account was registered under his own Belarusian number, and for a time, even featured a photo of Pavel himself as its profile picture.
