In April 2021, a case was opened under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (group actions grossly violating order) and Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code (financing of extremism) with an interstate wanted list.

In December 2024, the Investigative Committee of Belarus launched a special (in absentia) criminal case against Alexey Leonchik. In August 2025, the Gomel Regional Court issued a verdict in absentia - Leonchik was found guilty and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

On February 16, 2021, Belarusian security forces conducted searches at all addresses in Belarus with which Andrei Strizhak and his family are associated. In April 2021, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus accused Andrei Strizhak of financing an extremist group and training individuals to participate in group actions that grossly violate public order (Part 2 of Article 342 and Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus).

In February 2022, a criminal case was opened for "financing extremist activity". On May 18, 2022, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus opened a criminal case against Andrei for "financing and material support of an armed conflict and military actions on the territory of a neighboring state" (Part 2 of Article 361-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus). In addition, the Investigative Committee accused Strizhak of recruiting Belarusian volunteers to participate in military actions in Ukraine.

On 12/05/2024, a "special proceeding" was initiated, Andrey was charged under 17 articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. In August, a court hearing in absentia was held and a sentence was handed down - 18 years of imprisonment.

Writer and journalist Sasha Filipenko was forced to leave for Europe in 2020. Some of his publications have been translated into many languages and were on bestseller lists. The writer is engaged in promoting the Belarusian issue and has repeatedly appeared in Western media.

In November 2023, a search was conducted in the house of Sasha Filipenko's parents, his father, Alexander, was detained. Later, the Pervomaisky District Court of Minsk arrested him for 13 days.

In February 2024, Filipenko said that a criminal case had been opened against him, and that “two other cases were in the process of being opened.”

Alexander shared that the decision to open a criminal case against him states : "...through literature and other Internet resources, he insulted three professional groups... including patriotically minded citizens, which led to mass protests in Belarus...".

Deputy Chairman of the United Civil Party. The politician was detained on May 13, 2021. He was taken from work by police officers. Vladimir Shantsev was found guilty of allegedly participating in an unauthorized mass event near the Mogilev Regional Court on May 12, where the criminal case of Pavel Severinets and other activists was being tried. After 15 days of administrative arrest, he was released from the temporary detention facility.

At the end of February 2025, a criminal case was opened in absentia against Vladimir for participating in the program "Palitbomond" (broadcasts from 09/20/2023 and 10/08/2024) on the YouTube channel "6tv Bielarus", which was recognized as an "extremist formation" by the decision of the KGB Chairman on 11/29/2023.
