Daniil was convicted of participating in the "Freedom March" under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to one year in prison. The case was heard in the Molodechno District Court of the Minsk Region. Daniil had previously been convicted in 2021 of house arrest and in 2024 of imprisonment. He was convicted of participating in the protests while serving his previous sentence.
Daniil had previously served five days in jail for participating in a march in August 2020.
Once the sentence takes effect, you can only write letters to the prisoner. Under Art. 85 of the Penal Code of Belarus, convicts cannot receive money transfers from anyone other than close relatives.
