On June 20, 2020, a peaceful rally called "Lance of Solidarity" took place in the central square of Gantsevichi. Igor Volnich, who arrived there, detained one of the participants with particular brutality, pinning the man's head to the asphalt with his knee.
Volnich also testified at court hearings as a victim of insults on social media. One of the defendants was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom without being sent to a closed institution and ordered to pay 1,500 rubles in compensation for moral damages.
