Nikita Yemelyanov is the longest-held anarchist political prisoner in Belarus. He was arrested in 2019 for holding solidarity protests with political prisoners of the time. He carried out symbolic acts of direct action to express his position and draw the attention of Belarusian society to political repression. One such protest was the Molotov cocktail thrown through the door of Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 on Voladarsky Street. Destroy the prisons! Freedom for political prisoners! Freedom for Nikita Yemelyanov!
