Alexander is an architect and guitarist for the band Awakening Our Memories. He was arrested on August 2, 2022, for reposting a video from the ByPol YouTube channel on VKontakte titled "Roman Bondarenko. The Prosecutor General's Office is Concealing the Murderers." He was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest, but was not released after serving his sentence. A criminal case was opened against him under the article "Organization and preparation of actions grossly violating public order, or active participation therein."
In November 2022, Alexander was found guilty and sentenced to restricted freedom and sent to an open-type institution.
According to pro-government channels, she took part in several protests in August 2020. Judging by the video, Elena was detained by a large number of security forces - some of them descended from the roof of a multi-story building on ropes and climbed into the apartment through the windows, while others entered through the door.
According to human rights activists, she should be released after serving her sentence.
