Irina was detained on June 25, 2025. As she was leaving the oncology center, several people in full gear and with batons jumped out at the woman, grabbed her, and placed her in their minibus. This happened in front of the patients and medical staff working at the oncology center.
Irina has a complex form of lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The lack of proper treatment may lead to the patient's death. Irina Levina was detained by punitive forces in connection with some politically motivated case. Most likely, the detention was carried out by GUBOPiK officers. The essence of the charges is still unknown.

More than two dozen of her articles have been awarded the status of "good" or "excellent". Since 2010, she has been the administrator of the Belarusian Wikipedia. Olga Sitnik has made hundreds of thousands of edits to Wikipedia and created thousands of articles for it.
She was arrested in May 2025. The nature of the charges is unknown, but it appears that Sitnik is involved in a criminal case with other Belarusian Wikipedia administrators who are now behind bars.
