Mikhaltsov was charged with the fact that after voting in the presidential election on August 9, 2020, he went to the square in Rechitsa, and when they started detaining another guy there for no reason, he and a group of people prevented him from doing so. In particular, he allegedly went out onto the roadway on Chapaev Street and allegedly obstructed the movement of traffic. In addition, he was accused of violence against a policeman from the Rechitsa district police department, DmitryGaray .
According to human rights activists, he was released in February 2024 after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
