The torture is related to the fact that the head of the colony is a friend of Alexander Geyts, the victim in the case for which the prisoner was tried. Dmitry was arrested in connection with a criminal case opened following a protest on September 13, 2020, in Brest, where people were singing and dancing in circles and were attacked with a water cannon. He was convicted of "participating in group actions that grossly violate public order."
In April 2023, it was announced that Dmitry had been given an additional sentence of five months in prison. According to released political prisoners, he was also convicted under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

Daniil, an activist in the anarchist movement, was arrested in March 2021 as part of a criminal case brought against anarchists from the Brest region. He was convicted of "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" and "participation in a criminal organization." It is known that the charges were based on an episode with blocking roads in Brest in 2018, when a protest was taking place against the construction of the battery plant.

Nikita was arrested and convicted of throwing a Molotov cocktail at military personnel on August 10, 2020, according to investigators. The prosecution claimed the bottles were hidden and given to him by Leonid Kovalev with the intention of setting fire to a building, bus, or police van. Nikita refused to testify, denied guilt, and reported physical and psychological pressure in pretrial detention. He was 16 years old at the time of his arrest and suffers from epilepsy.
In July 2021, he was convicted again under the article on "violence or threat of violence" for an incident with pretrial detention facility staff. In June 2022, Nikita was transferred to an adult prison colony upon turning 18, and in August of that year, his sentence was increased, relegating him to a prison regime.
In July 2024, the political prisoner was tried for "malicious disobedience to the prison administration"—a charge often applied to prisoners who refuse to cooperate with the administration.
On March 19, 2026, he was released after another visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, John Cole, and taken to Lithuania.

Viktor was detained on October 18, 2020, after the "Partisan March" protest. Upon seeing security forces, he attempted to flee, but was knocked down and fell along with a riot police officer, who sustained a fracture. Viktor was severely beaten and hospitalized. At trial, he testified to torture but was convicted of allegedly tripping a riot police officer, pleading not guilty.
In the summer of 2021, he was convicted again under the article on "malicious disobedience to the demands of the correctional facility administration." This article applies to prisoners who refuse to cooperate with the administration and for fictitious violations. As a result, his total prison sentence was seven years.
In December 2023, Viktor's conditions of detention were tightened and he was transferred to a prison regime.
In December 2025 , he was released, having fully served his sentence.

Artyom was detained, severely beaten, and later convicted of damaging the car of a policeman's wife in Novaya Borovaya.
On June 29, 2022, the political prisoner was supposed to be released, but instead he was re-arrested. In July of the same year, he was convicted again for "insulting a government official" in a closed chat organized by security forces for the purpose of provocation.
