He was detained on September 22, received 15 days of administrative arrest. Then a criminal case was opened against Alexei under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. As a result, he was convicted of inflicting "an unidentified blow on the back of the right leg" of an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On July 28, 2023, he was released after the expiration of his sentence.
