He was also found guilty of "illegal drug trafficking without intent to sell," as approximately two grams of marijuana were found during a search of his person, which he voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement officers.

Vladimir was found guilty of "insulting a government official" for a comment he left on a Telegram channel about a police officer.

After the first court hearing, the Telegram channel was declared an extremist group, and Yevgeny was sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

In April 2022, Evgeny was re-tried in a closed trial under the article "creation of an extremist group or participation in one" and again sentenced to imprisonment.
