According to the accusation, Yevgeny spread obviously false data and slander on the Internet against the head of the traffic police, the leaders of the Gomel special purpose police unit and an employee of the Gomel Technical University named after P. V. Sukhoi — there were six victims in the case. The distribution consisted in the fact that Galich sent two other people's articles in a personal message, adding on his own: «We can repeat it».
In court, this was considered a call for mass actions.
At the beginning of January 2024, he was released upon expiration of his sentence.
