The trial itself was held in a show trial, outside the court building, in front of students from the Polytechnic and Agricultural Colleges. Konopatsky and Molchan were taken into custody in public view after the verdict was announced.

The essence of the claims against Molchan and Konopatsky was that in the summer of 2021, in the village of Dyatlovichi (Luninetsky district of the Brest region), the state flag was removed from a store. Margarita was a long-time member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus. She was on Sergei Gaidukevich's initiative group during the 2010 presidential election, and in 2014, she ran for the party's seat on the Minsk City Council—and, naturally, lost. She hasn't appeared in public since.

At the end of May 2024, state media reported the detention of two Belarusian citizens at the Belarusian-Lithuanian border: one of them was on the international wanted list and was attempting to illegally cross the border into Lithuania, the other was a driver.

In a "confession video," Alexander admitted that in 2021 he left comments "approving" of the actions of Andrei Zeltser, who died in a shootout with KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk. Alexander is known to have lived in the United States for a long time.

In February 2025, he was convicted on four criminal charges, but the outcome of the sentence is still unknown. He is also reported to have serious health problems.

Previously, Yevgeny Olegovich Kotlerov became known for the fact that his denunciations became the basis for the charges against several Gomel residents on administrative and criminal charges, including his role as a witness in the case of human rights activist Leonid Sudalenko .

In 2023, Kotlerov raised concerns about the legality of local authorities' actions, which led to his being sought by police and placed in a temporary detention facility. In early 2024, under pressure from government authorities, he was forced to delete his Facebook page.

Kotlyarov was arrested in the spring of 2024 after publishing several videos in which he criticized the actions of Gomel Regional Executive Committee official Andrei Baranovsky.

A former journalist for Media-Polesye, Yevgeny was severely beaten during the protests.

On August 10, 2020, Yevgeny went to the protests as a journalist. He was detained , first beaten by police in the Pinsk City Executive Committee restroom, then in a police van. He was then taken to the Pinsk City Police Department's shooting range, where Ales Romanovich saw him badly beaten. He was then placed in the Pinsk temporary detention facility, and then taken to the pretrial detention center of the Ivatsevichi colony, where security forces had housed some of the detainees.

A week after the beating, the journalist still had bruises. It was reported that traces of the beating remained on his face even a month later, including deep scars. Media-Polesye also reported at the time that its employee had suffered an eye injury.

According to human rights activists , he was released in the fall of 2025, having fully served his sentence.
