Former officer of the special detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Almaz", at the time of his dismissal from it he served with the rank of captain. He is credited with participating in the brutal dispersal of protesters at the intersection of Pushkin and Pritytsky (metro station Pushkinskaya). From the beginning of the war, Igor Chemyakin defended Ukraine. Recently, the former diamond man fought in the “Sakhashchik detachment” in the 79th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the end of May, he was seriously wounded in the back, and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. The fighter is conscious, recovering.
