In the fall of 2020, Zelenkevich moved to Russia, where she continued to train and also worked as a triathlon and swimming coach. According to Tribuna, some time ago Zelenkevich returned to Belarus, and soon after that she was detained and remained behind bars until trial.

It is known that in 2021, Vitaly’s house was searched; it was carried out in connection with a criminal case for insulting the delegates of the Supreme Council from the Postavy district. The insult allegedly took place on one of the social networks.
In 2024, the Investigative Committee began “special proceedings” against Vitaly. The special jurisdiction mechanism allows the Belarusian authorities to try defendants in absentia if they remain abroad.
The woman was accused of going out onto roadways and “blocking and obstructing the path of vehicles” during three protests. Natalya fully admitted her guilt at the trial. She said that she actually took part in three Marches with other people, which she learned about from the media and news. She understood that the holding of these mass events was due to socio-political events in the state, but “she did not take her participation in them seriously.” While participating in the Marches, Natalya took photographs of herself and her husband, as well as those participating in the Marches, on her phone. In total, police found seven photographs from the protests, which were stored on cloud storage. The inspection reports for some photos indicate that “the photographer is located on the roadway.”
From the verdict, which was published on pravo.by, it follows that photos from the protests of the woman were found on the phone during a call to the police department of the Moskovsky district of Minsk.
Before the trial, Natalya was held on bail in the amount of 8,000 rubles.
