The trial was held behind closed doors at the request of the prosecution in order to ensure the safety of the injured OMON officers. It is known that Viktor Prusov was detained on September 27, 2020 during one of the protest actions in Gomel, in the detention center he was informed that a criminal case had been opened for resisting police officers (Article 363 of the Criminal Code). Then the case was closed, but the prosecutor's office returned it for further investigation, during which the episode was reclassified under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code. Victor was again taken into custody on June 17, 2021.
On April 25, 2022, the second trial took place, where Viktor was sentenced to 1.5 years in a colony, in total with the first term was 3,5 years.
