She was convicted in the "case of round dances " in Brest. She did not admit guilt. On September 13, 2020, at the March of Heroes in Brest, at the intersection of Cosmonauts Boulevard and Masherov Avenue, the protesters danced, sang the songs "Mura" and "Try charapakhi", and danced. They were dispersed by a water cannon.
A few months after the verdict, on October 13, 2021, Yulia’s home was searched, after which she was detained in a new criminal case. Then she was accused of financing extremist activities (Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code) and illegal actions in relation to information about private life and personal data (Article 203-1 of the Criminal Code). Yulia was imprisoned in SIZO-7.
In mid-April 2022, information appeared that Yulia was charged under six articles of the Criminal Code.
On July 4, 2022, the trial began in the Grodno Regional Court. On July 18, Judge Viktor Senko found the political prisoner guilty under six articles of the Criminal Code.
3 years of restriction of liberty without a referral.
On July 18, 2022, a second sentence was passed under 6 articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus - 5 years in prison under general regime conditions and a fine of 2,650 rubles and 5,000 rubles of moral compensation in favor of one of the injured prosecutors.
On October 18, 2022, following the consideration of the appeal , Yulia was reduced by three months - from 5 years in prison to 4 years and 9 months , and also reduced the amount of the fine by almost a thousand rubles.
