An arborist and director of the Belarbo company, living near Change Square, was detained on September 15, 2020 as part of a criminal case of mass riots and found guilty under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In September 2022, Stepan’s punishment was tightened and he was transferred to prison for two years.
