Pavel was found guilty of leaving a comment in the telegram chats "Punishers" and "Partizans" on November 8, 2020 in the direction of an employee of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Lieutenant Colonel Bartynsky. The comment contained a non-normative form of expression. Also on November 25, 2020, in the Punishers telegram chat, he left an insulting comment in the direction of Alexander Matskevich, commander of the first platoon of the operational company of the OMON ATS of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.
Pavel Makarenko pleaded guilty. He said that he did not exactly remember those events, since a lot of time had passed. However, he said he allegedly left the comments "out of emotion".
