Evgeniy, an active participant in the Zubr movement and one of its founders, was detained on September 25, 2020.
In his activities, he faced repeated repression from the current government, such as fines, administrative arrests, beatings, intimidation and pressure.
On April 12, 2022, he was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
In May 2024, Evgeniy returned from the indoor prison to Correctional Colony No. 1. His physical condition has deteriorated, he has lost weight, and has bruises under his eyes. At the same time, the political prisoner is holding on and has a positive attitude. Immediately upon arrival at the institution, the administration placed him in a punishment cell for 45 days, and then transferred him to the PKT.
On July 29, 2024, the next trial will take place in Novopolotsk to replace Evgeniy’s detention regime. The political prisoner may be transferred to prison again.
