Andrei ran for the Minsk City Council of Deputies in 2017. And on August 10, 2020, he was detained at a mass protest in the center of Minsk and arrested. He was also sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest on April 13, 2022 for "disobedience to the lawful demands of an official" under Art. 24.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
