Kozel Natalia Grigorievna is involved in politically motivated repressions in the Republic of Belarus. Kozel is responsible for the fact that, as a judge of the Leninsky District Court of Grodno, he pronounces numerous politically motivated sentences against representatives of civil society of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of her decisions, fines have already been issued for a total of no less than 9,616 rubles and administrative arrests for a total of no less than 97 days. In July 2020, she convicted the defendants in the Tikhanovsky case under articles of the administrative code. On March 19, 2021, Natalia Kozel punished the portal Hrodna.life with a fine of 400 basic units and its editor-in-chief as an individual with a fine of 25 basic units “for disseminating extremist information” on the website: links and logos of the Telegram channel Nexta. In December 2021, she sentenced the head of the Ikvadart studio, political prisoner Gleb Koypish, to two years of restriction of freedom and sent to an open institution. Thus, Natalia Grigorievna Kozel is responsible for human rights violations and undermining the principles of the rule of law, as well as for promoting repression against representatives of civil society and the democratic opposition. Her work within the judiciary is focused on maintaining the position of the existing government, rather than on enforcing the law.
