We are talking about a blow to the head and spraying with pepper spray. Egor admitted that he did use the spray can, but did not strike. The fact was that the police detained people using physical violence, and Sakun held the guy on the ground by pressing his knee on him. When Yegor Khramenya was nearby, Sakun made a sharp wave of his hand, which made the guy afraid that he would be detained too, which is why pepper spray was used for self-defense. As a result, Yegor paid for Sakun’s treatment in the amount of 249 rubles, but in court the policeman demanded another 5,000 rubles in material compensation for moral suffering. Dudal sentenced Egor to two years of imprisonment in a penal colony under general regime conditions and ordered Sakun to pay 1,000 rubles in compensation. Sentenced activist Sergei Gurlo to 1.5 years and a half to a year of restriction of freedom without being sent to an open institution under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (“Insulting a representative of the authorities”) for comments on the Internet. He must also pay 1,000 rubles in moral compensation to two police officers.
