Yuri Bubnov has been the head of the Department of Humanities at the Belarusian University of Food and Chemical Technologies (formerly MGUP) since 1997. His portrait is on the veterans honor board of the Belarusian State University of Technology (formerly MGUP). The man was awarded the badge «Vydatnik adukatsi». In Mogilev, Yuri Bubnov is known as an expert sociologist, one of the founders of the Center for Urban Initiatives and the festival «Dranik-fest».
