As it was announced at the trial in Brest, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia refused to extradite Protasevich to Belarus due to the absence of a crime in his actions under Russian laws.
Nevertheless, he was expelled from Russia under the procedure of violation of migration legislation and transferred to Belarus. Andrei Nikolaevich has been in custody in Belarus since November 7, 2022. Convicted of an offensive comment in social networks.
