Aliaksei is a general practitioner and head of the prevention department at City Polyclinic No. 5 in Hrodna. In November 2021, he was detained by officers of GUBOPiK, the main anti-organised crime directorate. According to the prosecution, Aliaksei was a member of "destructive" Telegram channels and wrote comments there, allegedly insulting police officers and Lukashenko and calling for mass riots, blocking of the railway and sanctions. While Aliaksei was in the pre-trial detention center, the pro-government newspaper SB. Belarus Today published his "letter of repentance".
In June 2022, Aliaksei was found guilty in a criminal case opened under the article "Organisation of mass riots" and five other articles for these online comments.
