In 2020, he was detained and beaten during protests in Minsk, after which he was fined for "participating in an unauthorized event."
In 2022, he was charged again under the same article: a court in Orsha sentenced him to 15 days in jail for a photo on social media featuring a Pahonia T-shirt.
In 2025, a new criminal case was opened against him, allegedly for filming the movements of military equipment, and he was sentenced to restricted freedom with direction.

It is known that in 2024, Zakhar was previously tried for hooliganism: he was sentenced to two months' arrest, amnestied, and released from the courtroom. However, later, in November of that year, he was arrested again and placed in pretrial detention.
