Irina is originally from Pinsk. Her research interests include the sociology of entrepreneurship.
In 2003, she defended her PhD dissertation on "Sociocultural Factors in the Formation of Entrepreneurship in the Economy of the Republic of Belarus." From 2003 to 2006, she was an associate professor in the Department of Management at the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship. She also taught at BSU.
From 2010 to 2011, Andros wrote the column "Entrepreneurship" for the state-run newspaper "Respublika." She has spoken at numerous conferences, including internationally. She is a member of the European Sociological Association.
She was a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Belarusian State University. In 2021, she defended her dissertation on "Socioeconomic Transformation of Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Belarus" and received a Doctor of Sociological Sciences degree.
Andros's last known position was as a leading researcher at the Center for Human Development at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Her publications ceased after 2024—likely because she was detained and fired from her job either in late 2024 or early 2025.
