Nikolai Igorevich Lasitsa is a representative of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repression. On November 1, 2021, he requested the court sentence Alexandra Gladkikh under Article 369 of the Criminal Code to two years of restricted freedom and placement in an open correctional facility. In April 2022 and October 2023, he twice served as the state prosecutor in the case of political prisoner Polina Sharenda-Panasyuk, charged with "disobeying the prison administration," resulting in her prison term being increased by a total of two years and three days.
