Andrei Vitalyevich Khvesyuk is a member of the security forces involved in politically motivated repressions, during which thousands of peaceful protesters, hundreds of journalists, human rights defenders, and activists were detained and subjected to violence.
Andrei Khvesyuk participated in the violent suppression of peaceful protests, using physical and psychological violence, and also testified in politically motivated trials against protesters.
According to eyewitnesses, after the arrests on August 9-11, 2020, he personally beat those detained in a gym for "kneeling inappropriately before him."
Khvesyuk's actions are a direct violation of international human rights standards and demonstrate the violence and lawlessness that characterize the political system in Belarus.
