Evgeniy is a former IT manager from Mogilev. After the 2006 elections and several years of political activism, he was expelled from the history department of Mogilev University. He graduated from the history department in Poznan and worked as a manager at an IT company, supplying dairy products. In 2013, Evgeniy returned to Belarus, immediately got married, and then went to work. While he had previously focused primarily on public and academic activities (in the student ethnographic society and the oral history archive), he has now gone into business.

And since the beginning of 2017, he has taken on a new occupation: at the request of clients, he has recorded interviews with their village grandparents and edited documentaries.

He is accused of aiding extremist activity.

On February 15, 2024, a "counter-terrorist operation" regime was introduced in the Lelchitsy district of the Gomel region on the border with Ukraine. The population was asked to "remain calm and obey the demands of law enforcement officers." The KGB claims to have detained members of a "sabotage and reconnaissance group" that included citizens of Ukraine and Belarus. Among those detained were Ukrainian citizens, father and son Sergei and Pavel Kabarchuks. Sergei Kabarchuks, born in 1963, are from the Kovel district of the Volyn region. The father and son were detained in February 2024 in the Lelchitsy district. "Explosive devices and other means of destruction" were found on them. The KGB "established" that the explosive devices were intended for terrorist attacks in Belarus and Russia, and the "infiltration of the group" was organized by the Security Service of Ukraine.

At the same time, Brest resident Vitaly Vlasyuk, born in 1970, was also detained. He was accused of smuggling (Part 3 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code).

He was tortured in the KGB pretrial detention center. After his arrest, he was kept in the KGB pretrial detention center for several days without food.

Maxim graduated from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics with a degree in network engineering. He began his career at the Minsk Electromechanical Plant, then worked as a programmer at IBA and Netland. In 2022, he took the position of system architect at A1.

He was detained and convicted in August 2024 under the articles “financing extremist activity” and “financing or other material support for war.”

On August 29, 2023, an appeal hearing was held and the verdict came into force.

Gleb Dudko is known in the musical environment not only of Gomel, but also far beyond its borders. Combining his talents as a musician and programmer, he launched at least two music IT startups.

Gleb’s father Oleg Dudko is a famous opera singer in Gomel and a former soloist of the Philharmonic.

In 2018, Gleb, together with programmer Maxim Grinevich, launched the ConcertMaster project. The idea of the project is to create a program that could automatically accompany vocalists .

Gleb was detained in March 2024 in Dobrush and sentenced to arrest for “distributing extremist materials .” After this, the man was transferred to a pre-trial detention center.

From Gleb Dudko’s publications on social networks, it can be understood that in 2022 he condemned military aggression against Ukraine. What exactly served as the basis for the political persecution of the Gomel resident is unknown.

He was detained in September 2023, allegedly for chatting with friends. A criminal case was opened.

The expected date of Andrey’s detention is September 20, 2023. On this day, a “repentance” video appeared, where a man says that he allegedly wrote negative comments about Lukashenko, officials, police officers, the Russian military, and also threatened people who support the current government.

44-year-old Andrei Burdenya was detained for comments in telegram chats, of which he left more than three hundred. Andrey studied at school No. 6, and then served in the army. It is known that now he is temporarily not working, but previously he worked for some time in the IT field, and even earlier he was engaged in the production of kitchen furniture and had his own individual entrepreneur

He was detained in February when he returned to Belarus from work. Previously, Alexander worked at a locomotive depot, but after 2020 he was either fired or quit himself - it seems that the dismissal was politically motivated. After that, Kamlenok worked as a truck driver in Western countries. And when he returned home from work, he was detained. He was accused of insulting a government official.

The Verkhnedvinsky District Court recognized Alexander’s page on Odnoklassniki as extremist.

A special forces detachment burst into Alexey’s home, they knocked the man to the floor and one security officer sat with his knees on Samoiluk’s body (with one knee on Samoiluk’s neck).

The pro-government channel claims that Samoiluk “threw stones at the police during the riots.” In that publication on the same channel they also posted photographs: in one picture there are two people in hoods and masks, one holding a Ukrainian flag, the second a sheet of paper with the text “Brest residents with Ukraine.”

Truck driver. The man was initially accused of hooliganism (Part 3 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code) and the creation of an extremist group or participation in it (Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code).

The Minsk City Court completed its consideration of the criminal case on February 29, 2024. Burako was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for a period of five years under Part 3 of Art. 361-1 CC. The hooliganism charge was dropped.

According to the investigation , on the evening of May 11, 2023, on the M-5 Minsk-Gomel highway near the village of Yasen, near Bobruisk, “the driver of a DAF vehicle, driving past a stopped military transport convoy, detonated an unidentified device, independently made from pyrotechnic products, by throwing him towards the military personnel and military equipment and then tried to hide.

However, during the pursuit, his car was blocked by the military, and he himself was detained."

It was established that “extremist” symbols were pasted in the cabin of the car, and several subscriptions to radical channels recognized as extremist, including the “victory” plan, were on the mobile phone.

On April 12, 2024, the appeal was considered and the verdict came into force.

As far as is known, the man was once a serviceman in the 38th separate guards airborne assault brigade. Subsequently, Dmitry worked as a military commissar in the Brest military commandant's office, and also taught at the military faculty of BSU. There is even a textbook that he co-authored for BSU in 2020.

The date of Pozdnyakov's arrest is unknown. Dmitry was convicted on November 20, 2023, in the Brest Regional Court. He was charged under Part 2 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code - "Treason committed by an official." It provides for a punishment of 10 to 20 years in prison. It is unknown what punishment the paratrooper received.

On January 16, 2024, an appeal was held in the Pozdnyakov case. The sentence came into force.

It is known that as of the summer of 2024, Dmitry was transferred to the PKT, he was tortured : they broke his arms, used a stun gun, forced him to sign documents and blank sheets .

Dmitry's wife and two children are waiting for him at home.

In 2006, he graduated with a master's degree from the Physics Department of Belarusian State University. Before his arrest, he held the position of lead software engineer (a management position) at EPAM. In May 2020, Pavel, along with a team of other IT employees, helped Belarusian teachers set up a distance learning system. Pavel is married and has two children. At the time of his arrest and trial, his wife was pregnant; he had not seen their second child.

Judging by social media, Pavel was involved in social dancing (hustle).

The conviction was based on PayPal donations made between 2020 and 2022 to funds and initiatives such as BYSOL, BY_help, BYPOL, and others. Most of the donations ranged from 10 to 50 euros, with about ten transfers in total. Pavel acknowledged the transfers and explained them as a desire to help people affected by the protests or those who lost their jobs.
