He was detained on June 4, 2020. Participated in a picket to collect signatures for Tikhanovskaya. Charges have been brought under Articles 342 and 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In July 2022, he was transferred to prison regime.
On July 21, 2023, Vladimir was added one more year to his term under Art. 411 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (Malicious disobedience to the requirements of the colony administration).
