He studied in France and graduated from the Université Lumière Lyon 2 in 2007. He built his career in high technology: first, he worked for almost seven years as an engineer at the STC group of companies, then moved to Mobile Service Ltd, where he worked on audiovisual solutions.
Since April 2021, Yuri has worked as an engineer at Netland. It was there that he participated in a large-scale government project—the launch of the third line of the Minsk metro.
Yuri disappeared from social media in the spring of 2025—it appears he was arrested and held in pretrial detention pending trial.

How to write a letter

✏️ It is important to share news. Mention the most notable and interesting occurrences depending on your pen-pal's interests.
✍️️ Remember that every letter is censored. This means that your letters are read by strangers whose main goal is to limit inmates' access to information or to use it against the prisoners or even you.
So try to avoid:
👉️️ harsh statements regarding ongoing political matters
👉 statements against the authorities and public servants
👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
