Igor has posted and communicated extensively on social media about Belarusian security forces and government officials. He was also among the 500 subscribers to a 2019 appeal to then-Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė regarding the reburial of the remains of 1863-1864 rebels hanged by the Tsarist authorities.
On April 26, 2024, the appeal was heard and the verdict came into force.
He was expected to be released in February 2026 .
