Eldar Safarov is known for his work on a number of high-profile trials. In 2010, he served as the prosecutor in the politically motivated trial of Volkovysk businessman Nikolai Autukhovich.
Safarov left the force in the fall of 2020 due to the events of the summer and fall of 2020.
On December 24, 2023, it became known that Eldar and his family were free.
