Ekaterina was arrested on September 29, 2021, in connection with a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk.
At the end of January 2022, the girl was expelled in absentia from the Minsk State Linguistic University, and in February 2023, she was sentenced to imprisonment.
Ekaterina was released in the courtroom after the verdict was announced, as the time she spent in custody completely covered the sentence imposed by the court.
