Convicted for the fact that the Zhodzina policeman Nikolai Baranovsky considered himself offended by his comment on social networks. At the trial, Dmitry Ivanov pleaded guilty and apologized to the policeman. He paid compensation for non-pecuniary damage in the amount of a thousand rubles before the trial. Ivanov could not sit at the trial due to pain in the kidneys. Dmitry was released in the courtroom. The prosecutor asked the court to punish the accused with two years in prison. On the day of the verdict, the man had a son.
Disagreeing with the imposed punishment because of its leniency, the prosecutor of the Cherikovsky district filed an appeal. By the decision of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Mogilev Regional Court, Ivanov was sentenced to a more severe punishment.
